Suzanne Partridge is an artist who resides in the UK. You can view her work at her website (Suzanne Partridge), but the following exposè from her website details her style of painting in her own words:

My work is abstract and expressionistic, each painting is a response to the way I feel, both physically and emotionally.

Colour is a major inspiration for the work. Colour stops me in the street, invites me to breathe it in and take it with me.

Colours resurfaces as I pain, as do past and present experiences. I am able to manipulate colour and present moods, from initial automatic gestural marks into a balanced composition.

Although I draw from life I am not content with recognisable imagery. I prefer a more ambiguous picture plane, a surface which the viewer can project their own experience, enabling them to come into a personal conclusion about what my work represents to them.

You can visit her website to see some examples of her work…

The California Democrat announced today that Doug Partridge lost his attempt to gain a seat on the Eldon R-1 School District Property Board, at Eldon, Missouri.

  1. Larry Henderson 1
  2. Larry LaDuke 3
  3. Chris Mertens 3
  4. Doug Partridge 1
  5. Walter Simpson 0

With a total of only 8 votes cast, the R-1 school district in Eldon must be extremely small for that small turnout…. there were almost as many candidates as there were votes!

Professor Robert Partridge, head of Nanomaterials Research Centre at Massey University in New Zealand announced today that the research lab at the University has developed a major breakthrough in solar power technology. Utilizing a synthetic dye called porphyrin, the lab has developed a “proof of concept” cell, showing that the technology will work. The trick they said, is efficiently passing on the energy they receive from the sun. At this time, the proof of concept cell developed by the University is the most efficient in the world. It is also much cheaper then silicon based technologies, as the cell uses titanium dioxide, a relatively cheap mineral found throughout the world.

Soon you may be able to power your Ipod with the shirt you wear… What once was pure science fiction, may soon come to pass. Read more about this breakthrough at the online article site Stuff.co.nz.

One of the things I like to do is to follow the lives and interests of the various people named Partridge. For some, we were born with the name, others married into it, some were adopted into it… others just pen the name. This category is about any Partridge and their contribution… or in some cases, non-contribution to society. That’s right, you’ll not only see the good, but the bad and the ugly here.
